Post-punk group formed in Glasgow, 1979. Originally comprising Clare Grogan (vocals), Tony McDaid (guitar), John McElhone (bass), Gerard "Caesar" McInulty (guitar) and Michael "Tich" Anderson (drums). McInulty left in 1981 to form The Wake with Jim McKinven (guitar/keyboards) replacing him. They soon adopted synthpop stylings under the influence of producers including Martin Rushent and Mike Chapman. The group split in 1983 (Anderson and McKinven had already left the previous year). Clare (who had already appeared in the hit film "Gregory's Girl" in 1980) is now an actress under the name CP Grogan.
